Hello!
We had a fantastic day out at the ski hill - Danderella's girls joined us! It was the very first time on skis for her eldest daughter and only the second time for the younger. (They usually snowboard!) They did great! We definitely got our fill of fresh air and vitamin D today!!! Unfortunately, it is back to reality for me tomorrow. Back to packing lunches, homework and after school activities. I can say though that we had a fantastic, relatively quiet and most importantly largely "unscheduled" holiday - many days waking up and deciding what to do or not do - mostly "should we stay home in our pj's or go skiing?" It was bliss! Back to reality. I'm bracing myself. How many days till the weekend???
I came across two bracket stamps sets in my stash that I HAD to have years ago (and used maybe once) and decided to USE them now! (note to self - if MOJO is lacking, clean scrap space!)
These are definitely under the quick and simple category and I had some more fun with bling! I'm thinking it would be a good idea to make up a bunch of these with different sentiments to put together as a gift set to have on hand for last minute gifts or teacher gifts etc. I usually get bored after about two, but these were FUN to make - I pulled random sheets of scraps from my scrap bin and then pulled bling to match and was set! Hmmm, if I could come up with a Christmasy version, that might be a fun way to get a few more Christmas cards in the stash! I wonder if I have an appropriate sentiment.....
I would like to share my cards for the following challenges:
Less is More - black + white + a dash of one colour
CAS-ual Fridays - Thank you
Hope you are having a great week!
Shanna :)

Heartfelt Thanks
Today's card is for the current challenge over at Inspired By.
I adore snowmen and I am trying to use up a few scraps. I found this awesome (but old) Echo Park scrap in my bin and decided to turn it into a thank you card. Though I love these adorable snowmen, I found it difficult to "rope" them into the design such that you can really enjoy them. In the end I think it turned out ok.
Have a great day!
Shanna :)

Baby
I am on a mission to use up some scraps! When I came across this paper from DCWV, I remembered that it came with cute die cuts and decided I could use a baby card for the stash. I do wish I'd used red embroidery floss for the airplane's "jet stream" but it's too late now!
Here is a peek at this inside...
I was able to incorporate a couple of challenges:
Cute Card Thursday - inspired by NEW
and
Crazy for Challenges - use BOWS
Stay tuned, I'll be back soon with a card for Laurel's snowman inspiration challenge at Inspired By.
Thanks for your visit!

Ice cream Birthday
I have used this fabulous sketch from Unscripted Sketches yet again. I couldn't help it, I just had to make a birthday card with it. I came across this cute sentiment in a yet un-inked CTMH set and knew exactly what papers I had to use. These papers are very busy and proved more difficult to work with than originally anticipated, but I think I managed it in the end.
I had a fabulous day scrapping with a couple of girlfriends! I hope your Friday was great too!
Thanks for visiting,
Shanna :)
What I used:
papers: Echo Park Summer Days
stamp: D1529 Cricut Artiste Collection Birthday
bling: MME 12 days of Christmas line

Masculine Birthday
Happy Birthday Papa!
I have several masculine birthdays coming up this month. I started out with this one for my papa whose birthday is on Saturday. This is a small card, measuring just over 4x4. It was quick and simple (good since I needed to get it in the mail ASAP) and I got to play with my new Tim Holtz stamps!
I would like to share at:
Cute Card Thursday - inspired by the word NEW - my Tim Holtz stamps are new, does that count?
and
My Mum's Craft Shop - anything goes
Thanks for visiting!

What I used:
stamps: CTMH Happy Birthday
and Tim Holtz - The Journey

Kaiser Craft Christmas - Unscripted Sketch #191
I would also like to play along over at Jingle Belles where the current prompt is "Look what Santa brought me!" Both the paper pad and the MFT ribbon are new! Hooray for fab new stash! I was thrilled to find these awesome sugared brads whilst doing a BIG clean in my scrap space. I adore them and had no idea I still had some! It is truly amazing what you find when you clean!!! lol
Since I've made a holiday card, I can also play at Christmas Card Challenges.
Gotta run, I have a snack in the oven. I have this odd new liking for chili nachos...
Shanna :)
What I used:
paper: Kaiser Craft "Silly Season"
sugared brads
hot fudge ribbon by MFT
All wrapped up
I wrapped a few this way. A fun way to use twine and a fun way to play with my many Christmas themed postage style stamps. In this one you can also see one of the little packages we prepared for some neighbours containing large pretzel sticks dipped in chocolate and rolled in sprinkles and/or crushed candy cane. I just placed them in cello bags and added a tag.
I made this tag at our Stamping Pyjama party back in the fall. The tag was Amy's make and take project. I had purchased the ornament awhile back at my fave local store Vintage Pixie - there happens to be a sale happening right now.
And last but not least here is proud big cousin Cameron holding Graham. On the last night of his visit with us, I had him and he was fussing quiet a bit. I had to do something and asked hubby if he would take Graham. Cameron, who was sitting in the massage chair, piped up and said "I'll settle him." I handed him over and he did just that! Brave boy to take a crying baby and manage to settle him, way to go cousin Cam!
Gotta pack up the skiis and feed the boys lunch, we are hitting the slopes this afternoon!
Cheers,
Shanna :)
