This week's prompt was: sound. Before long, I was thinking about the haunting, yet profoundly beautiful, sound of the bag pipes, and my page started to take shape. It felt great to dig through my supplies and create a page - it had been way too long! I am going to start a brand new 8.5 x 11 album for this type of scrapping!
Journalling says: The 1st time I remember hearing the bagpipes was on a family road trip to BC. We were admiring the scenery at Lake Louise when someone started to play. I was 17, and falling in love with the mountains. The sound will always remind me of travel and exploring new places.
On an (extended family) RV trip in 2011, we happened upon the Highland Games in Eldon, PEI.
Hidden behind the family photo (apparently I had lots to write) on a tag: Cam participated in long jump and Gerry placed 2nd in the caber toss & got his photo in the local paper! There were, of course, several Pipe Bands - one is pictured here. What a wonderful welcome to PEI! That was August 6, 2011
Journalling: In Februray 2013, we headed to the Rockies because I was presenting at a conference in Banff! Skiing was the highlight! I was thrilled to return to Lake Louise & experience the views on skis! Blue/yellow dot bottom right is Cam
The family photo was taken at Peggy's Cove later on the same RV trip to the East Coast in 2011. Oooh, they were so little! And now, almost 7 years later, both my boys are taller than me and at least as tall as their Dad!!! I feel so small these days!
I would like to share at Mindful Monday where the prompt is: sound
And at Inspirational where the prompt is: play
Thanks for stopping by! Happy Weekend!
