Mini paper bag yummies!

These are the gifties I made for my co-workers for Christmas. They contain a super sweet, but fun concoction referred to as "Puppy Chow". It is a great recipe in that is takes all of five minutes to make, I think the clean up took longer, lol! 

Just in case you are intrigued, here is the recipe:

Ingredients:
1 box Crispix cereal
1 12 oz pkg semi-sweet chocolate chips
1/2 cup margarine
1 cup peanut butter
2 cups icing sugar

Directions:
In a microwavable bowl, melt chips, margarine and peanut butter. Heat approx 1-2 minutes total, stopping to stir. Stir well.
Pour cereal into a large bowl. Pour melted mixture over and mix to completely coat cereal.
Put icing sugar in a very large bowl with a lid. Pour in chocolate coated cereal. Put lid on  tightly and shake until cereal is completely covered.

Store in a sealed container on the counter or in the freezer. Enjoy! 
Alert - very sweet - grab a tall glass or milk or a cup of tea to enjoy with this snack!

Anyhow, the most enjoyable part for me was decorating these mini bags of course.

If you are a regular reader, you will know that I am currently a washi tape addict - I just can't seem to get enough of the stuff - it's quick, easy, colourful and versatile!

I have used the colour combo at The Paper Players this week. LOVE this colour combo! I think I'll be using it again soon! Did you hear? They are having a guest design team call. I put my name in the hat last week, but now realize that only one entry per person allowed. Oh well, a fab colour combo anyhow! Head on over to check it out.

Thanks for stopping by. Big thanks to Danderella who let me borrow her dienamics wreath from MFT to play with. LOVE it!

Here is version one - I meant to place the wreath a bit lower and lengthen the ribbon just like in Laurel's inspiration photo (below), but this is how it came out, so I played around with it and came up with...

Version Two - just added a row of buttons. I think it came out okay despite the design blooper. I am going to play with it more since I think it could be a perfectly pretty CAS card without the row of buttons if I lengthen that ribbon.

Once I uploaded my pics I realized that you can't see my embossing very well, so I tried a side shot. You will have to trust me, the embossed "brick wall" background is much more apparent in person and I love how it looks.

Wow, I can't believe I managed to fit in so many - it helps that there are so many holiday challenges right now. I was totally inspired to get crafting even though what I should be doing is "get addressing" the cards I already have made to get them in the mail, lol. Oh well, I still have time!!!

Today I have an "amped up" version of this card I made awhile back. A few of you suggested I try the same design on kraft and here is the result. I added a number of embellishments and just had fun with it. I apologize for the photo - my lighting was terrible and photoshop can only do so much with a novice user. lol

 There it is - that washi tape again - LOVE it!

I have had the grunge postal stamps from LOV for awhile. I forgot I even ordered them until I stumbled across them recently! They are such fun! The sentiment is from a very old CTMH set called "Holiday Joy".

Off to tackle the big "to do" list...laundry, baking, addressing Christmas cards, putting away the groceries, take a walk. Thankfully we don't have too much scheduled for the weekend. Looking forward to staying put as much as possible and crossing things off the list.

A quick post tonight to share two alternate versions of this card I made a while ago. Such a quick and simple design, I couldn't help but try it with some different stamps! And let's face it, quick and simple is the way to go when it's getting this close to the holidays!

Let there be peace

I have had a fantastic week and a half with my company!!! The house is feeling empty without them! My nephew is just the sweetest thing and it was so nice to have him with us for the last ten days!

I promise to share some photos soon - we took him to a Christmas party where he met Santa for the first time! He didn't even cry!

Anyhow,I was so happy to come up with this quick, but pretty card. I love this patterned paper from Jillibean soup as well as the sharp colour combo.

Quick and simple Christmas set

My company has arrived safe and sound. I am happy to report that my nephew is still the sweetest little guy ever! So happy to have him and his entourage here to visit with us!

Here are a few quick cards I whipped up using some more of that fab Bo Bunny line, Rejoice. I also managed to use up some ancient chipboard from DCWV that happened to match! That always feels good!

Snowboarder Christmas

Good evening,

Here are two different versions of the winter themed Christmas cards I made a few posts back. These were fun to make and like I said, I plan to make a few with birthday sentiments - great for masculine birthdays, especially those that fall in the winter and for those who happen to be into winter sports.

I think I prefer the first one with the detailed background and darker colours. What do you think?
