Do something EPIC

Hello! I hope you've had a wonderful weekend!

Today's card is for the The Library Challenge! I am finally playing along. The "Where the Wild things are" (by Maurice Sendak) challenge runs until June 30th. My boys loved this book. You may choose to be inspired by the Cover, the title, or the story. The boy in the book goes on quite the journey in a boat to "where the wild things are." Pretty epic if you ask me! So I sort of went with an Adventure theme.

I upcycled a label/ad from one of my fave pair of hiking shoes as the backdrop. Not sailboats, but canoes are watercraft at least. So I figured this paper would make a good matching envelope. This was a fun card to make!

Thanks for stopping by!

  1. I love how you've layered all these elements and I feel that you've really captured the essence of the book and the naughty little boys amazing journey. Thanks for joining The Library.

  2. BTW - I saw your guess for the next challenge and I'm sorry to tell you it's not correct. However, you have brought my attention to the Outlander series - it sounds like many people really rate it and so I'm putting it on my to-read list. But the book I've chosen is a one-off(not a series) and has a flower in the title. I hope you'll join in with it next week.
