Happy Sundae!
The challenge this week at Paper Sundaes is Lots of Layers! Since our sponsor this week is Sugar Nellie, I got to use this adorable image and color her up really bright and cheery like to match up with my Green at Heart papers from Basic Grey! This was lots of fun, since this is not a usual color combo for me.
This past week, I went back to work after a week of fabulous holiday time, but I won't lie- I was more than ready for Pickle pants and his big brother to head to camp! We had a great visit with Auntie Krista while she was here for a a long weekend and lucky me, we were able to sneak in an adequate amount of "girl time". So, off the boys go to camp - the eight year old to Science Camp and Pickle Pants to "Chippewa Day camp" - his very first camp experience. The overall experience for both of them was fantastic, but it was not without antics! After a couple of meltdowns reported by camp staff, we did threaten to pick up Pickle Pants early on Friday if he managed to meltdown yet again, as this would mean he would miss out on the Rides - this worked, thank goodness, as he had been looking forward to this all week long! Whew!
The funniest thing was when I picked him up on Thursday afternoon - Pickle Pants emerges from the pool building, snack in hand, back pack in place, smirk on face and towel wrapped around his waist like a skirt. I say to him - take off the towel Turkey and give it a yank - turns out he is only wearing his "wunderpants" underneath. What's this? I say where are your shorts? Turns out he "forgot" - read lost (we both checked for them in the morning) his swimming shorts. His solution was to swim in his wunderwear, but they wouldn't allow that (public pool ) so they compromised and let him remove his underpants to keep them dry, but swim in his shorts. Good thing swimming was at the end of the day! Anyhow, both boys head off to Chippewa next week, can't wait to see what kind of stories they will have for me then...
Sure hope you find some time to stamp and play along with us!
Shanna :)
