Here is my card. I have several Bazzill stitching templates that I have picked up from DAT'S over the years, but they have not had nearly enough love. Every time I pull one out and play, I am so pleased with the results. I had some actual vintage Jingle Bells that I was trying to incorporate into the design, but unfortunately they were a little too big. Fortunately, I was scrapping at Donna's and she just happened to have some of a more appropriate size! Thanks Hun! (my husband hates it when I call her that, tee hee, so we tend to do it more often for his benefit!) Before I added these fantastic little photo corners, we thought there was something missing, then Donna suggested these and ta da, it all came together! Gee, Hun, I forgot to check if you have one of these in the store - please order if you don't, thanks - I really NEED this one!
Most weeks I only make one card for the challenge, but even one per week will not add up to the number I need by the time late November rolls around. So, every once in awhile I decide I am really happy with a card and, if time allows, I cut out and gather up all the supplies I need to make 1, 2 or 3 more of them and put them in a big ziploc bag. I try also to stamp out the sentiment and inside message to avoid having to remember which ink I used or which set the sentiment was from, etc. I find it perfect to bring along when getting together to scrap/stamp with girlfriends. The truth is that most of the time, I am a slow designer and my "rate of production" slows severely when I am yaking with my friends, so repeating previously designed cards seems the way to go!
Well folks, I think I've rambled long enough, I hope you have a fabulous week! Looking forward to see what you come up with....
Be sure to stop by Sparkle's Christmas Card Challenge Blog to see what my fellow DT members have created. We are also being joined weekly by a Guest Designer, be sure to stop by and see who it is!
Cheers,
Shanna :)
