Thanks so Much

Stopping by to make a quick post. I have a card to share at Shopping Our Stash where the current challenge is to use your fave colour. My fave changes from time to time, but right now, I am in love with this fun shade of blue. Close to my Heart calls it Lagoon, I think others may call it Robin's Egg blue. I love wearing it with black or brown and I do love mixing it with yellow when papercrafting.

A quickie card for the stash. It was fun to do some embossing - haven't done in awhile. In this case, I tried out Donna's CTMH embossing templates - wow are they fun and make such a beautiful imprint. Gotta get me some of those!

Have a fabby weekend! I sure will - my lil Sis and my not quite two-year old nephew are here for a visit!
Cheers,
Shanna :)

What I used:
CTMH Skylark paper

stamp: CTMH "For a Friend" D1542

Pink snow

Here's a card I made a long while ago and didn't post. Super simple and easy peasy! I used a card base to start. Something about pink and black is just so fun!
Another holiday card for the stash!

25 days - days 2 thru 5

Just a quickie post I've been meaning to share. I did get a good chunk of my 25 Days of Christmas Album done this winter, but just didn't get around to photographing and editing.
So, here are days 2 thru 5.

Have a great week!

Celebrate - washi style

Here is yet another washi card based on the recent sketch from CASE(E) this sketch. This one I used for a non-traditional Wedding card. I do apologize for the lighting, having trouble with my editing software, just can't seem to get it quite right, anyhow...

I wanted to add hearts and to also bring out the fun orange in the washi tape, so I pulled out my ancient stash of felt so that I could play along with the current challenge at Shopping Our Stash - use something soft!

Hope you are having a great weekend! It has been a cold one here. The high is currently plus 8c and stormy!

Thanks for your visit!
Shanna :)

What I used:
stamp - Hero Arts
washi - MME
copics for splatter
random button
American Crafts twine

Live in the moment

My sister, Krista Silver, is now a Close to My Heart Consultant!!!

And I have offered to be her first hostess!

For all you local girls, my Close to my Heart party  is going to be on Thursday, June 26th at 7 pm at Donna's place

I would love it if you would come out, enjoy some munchies, make a card, and help my sister get started in this new adventure! There will be lots of product and projects to check out.

If you are able to attend, please let me know by Tuesday, June 24th so that she can have a project prepared for you!

I made her this card to congratulate her on becoming a consultant, using all Close to My Heart products.

Unfortunately, I had trouble with lighting the day I photographed it.

Birthday Wishes

Here I have combined two challenges to make these two cards.

Hmm, with or without splatter? I thought I'd hold back for the sympathy card, what do you think?

Here is the current sketch at CAS(E) this sketch - LOOOOVE it!

And here is the current inspiration photo from Inspired By.

See, I told you I'd be back with that fab sketch again - and I'm not done yet. I plan to try the same sketch using some paper scraps next, well and maybe a few more washi tape combos - I am a little obsessed! What a fab and fun way to build up the stash!

Thanks for visiting!

Happy Saturday!

I had so much fun with the current sketch from CAS(E) this sketch - check it out! Perfect for playing with my washi stash!

Edited to add the sketch - somehow it didn't show up when my post went up - oops! I will definitely be using this one again and again - with the stash of washi I have, the possibilities are endless!

Thanks so much for visiting! I will be back soon with another card. I made a few versions using this sketch.

JOY

Okay, so here we have another very flat and mailable card and one more card for the slowly growing stash! The rhinestones should not add enough bulk to make a difference. I could not help but distress this one though it may have looked just peachy without the distressing - that would have seemed way too easy though - ya know like cheating, lol! This is one of those lovely designer papers that allows you to just let the paper do the work - quick and easy peasy! (Well sometimes - other times I can't figure out for the life of me how to work them into a design!)

I would like to share at Shopping Our Stash where the challenge is "Critters" - I like birds while my Dad and sister can't stand them, lol! I guess I willl avoid sending them this one!
I would also like to share at Christmas Card Challenges.

Now, these next two were made by my youngest son. He is the best kid - ever since I made a Christmas card a few weekends ago to get my stash started, he has been listening to Christmas music, looking at Christmas books and asking me if I have any Christmas presents to wrap because he LOVES wrapping gifts!!! He has also been hunting for the Sears Wish Book to start his wish list, lol! I guess I might have passed my love for Christmas on - BUT besides making Christmas cards here and there, I must admit that even I don't really feel like wrapping Christmas gifts in June! lol So if any of you eager shoppers out there have a stash ready to wrap, you might consider hiring my son!

Aren't these the cutest? I allow him to raid my "never made it on the card or layout" stash whenever he makes cards, which is pretty fun really - maybe I should make more cards that way...
Thanks for visiting!
Shanna :)

What I used:
papers - My Mind's Eye - All is Bright 6x6
flower rhinestones - CTMH (very old)

Missing you

I just had to use my new Unity stamps to make a card for a friend who I've been thinking of lots lately but haven't seen in a long time. This was a fun stamp to play with.
The challenge at Crazy 4 Challenges is "School's Out" - use your summer plans to inspire your project. I do lots of gardening in the summer and also plan to get a little use out of my new bicycle while, hopefully, teaching my youngest son to ride his.
I would also like to share at Cute Card Thursday where the challenge is PINK.

A quick post tonight. Just got back from a four day circle tour of Northwestern Ontario for work. LOTS of driving (and too much sitting for this girl) - yoga will feel really good in the morning!

Thanks for stopping by,
Shanna :)

What I used:
stamps - Unity
papers - Crate Paper Maggie Holmes
ribbon - SU
Tim Holtz distress ink

Heart u

This one was my Dad's Birthday card. I love the pattern on this store-bought card base. It was a quick and simple one to make, but I love how it turned out. Used another heart made from Starbuck's Coffee sleeves. I forgot to photograph the inside and the envelope, but I made a fun one to go with it.

I'll be back soon with another card.

Cheers,
Shanna :)
