Graham's September page

Well, I am back from holidays - now for the to do list:
groceries - check
laundry - started
unpack - yuck!!!
new blog post - check
shoe shopping for school - not yet...

This is my favorite page so far of Graham's album. Scroll down for a closer look at my fave part - my "apple" tree complete with Graham's name and his initials. This was inspired by the book "Chicka Chicka boom boom".

I would like to share my page at:
Raise the Bar - back to school
and
Inspired by - see inspiration photo below

Check out this gorgeousness. I LOVE apples and check out all those fun patterns!!! Have you seen the new patterned apple stamp from Stampin Up? Can't wait to get my hands on that!

Graham's full name is Graham Raymond Adam Silver hence the three initials in the pile of apples. :)

Have a fantastic weekend!
Shanna :)

August of Graham's album

Another quick post. We have been super busy with my brother's wedding this past Saturday. We are all still trying to catch up on sleep, lol!

Here is the first two page spread for Graham's album as August is his birth month. It is quite simple, but I took advantage of all the papers had to offer which made it a quick page to design. Have a great week! I may not be back for a few days - the baby shower is on Wednesday!

Take care,
Shanna :)

Graham

Hello!

Just stopping in real quick to share two of my fave photos from our photo sessions the last few days. I especially love the guitar shot printed in black and white, but can't figure out how to do it on my sister's computer, it's a MAC which is great except I am unfamiliar, lol!

Lots of pre-wedding hype here and lots on the to-do list. My brother gets married on Saturday.

Take care,

Shanna :)

Graham's album Title page

Good morning! Shanna here reporting live from Lindsay, ON where I've been hanging out (read CUDDLING) with my perfect and adorable nephew Graham! Proud parents Krista & Adam have allowed me to move in for a few days to help them get some much needed rest - which translates to LOTS of cuddle time for Auntie! I just love this stage - the smell of their little head, the funny little noises they make (once in awhile he sounds a bit like a duck, lol) and that "bean bag" weight when they fall asleep on your chest or in your arms. I love all of it!

I finally get to share the big project I have been working away at. I have made a baby Album for Graham - when it is all done, there will be a title page, a final page, a two-page spread for each month of the year and a double page spread for his birthday month (August). Each two page spread features a calendar where Mommy & Daddy can easily journal all of his important firsts!

This first page is the title page. I had so much fun with this!

You will have to excuse me, but I had to include a few photos, how could I not? Here is Graham meeting his cousins for the first time and then of course proud Auntie holding him for the first time. Chester (right) came back every hour or so to hold him again. Doodlepants who now goes by Yoshi (by the way) waited until day two to work up the courage to hold him and then declared after about a minute - he smells funny! I told him he smells like a new baby = good. But he disagreed and handed him back, lol! I'll be back soon with some photos of just the babe and maybe his toes too!

Time for more cuddles!

Hugs,
Auntie Shanna :)

4th Annual Charity Pajama Stamping Party!

4th Annual
Charity Pajama Stamping Party
& Yard Sale with a Twist

Thursday, August 30, 2012
6:30 – 9:30 p.m.
Oliver Road Community Centre
(Basement)

$5.00 entry fee at the door
(includes 3 ballots for a $50 door prize)

Light Refreshments and Goodies will be provided

R.S.V.P to Donna at ddigby@shaw.ca by Sunday, August 26, 2012.

The Charity we have chosen this year is the Northern Cancer Fund – Chemotherapy - Leukemia in Honour of Patty LeClair.
Patty is Donna’s Aunt and in May she was diagnosed with Leukemia. She is a fighter with a very positive attitude, just like our dear friend Ellena.

At the party you will have the opportunity to make two Christmas cards, one with Stampin’ Up’s demonstrator Jennifer Pearson and one with Close to my Heart’s Consultant Shanna Cameron Picard.

Bring a Twoonie and create a “Sweet” make and take with Amy Digby (All the proceeds will be going to the Charity).

the card we will be making

For every $50 (before shipping and taxes) with both companies combined you will receive a ballot for a special $50 prize package.

You may earn free shipping with each company by spending $100 or more (before shipping and taxes) from each consultant. Shanna and Jennifer are offering this special promotion as part of their charitable donation to the event.

Close to my Heart only accepts Cash or Cheques. Stampin’ Up accepts Visa, Mastercard, Cash or Cheques.

After crafting your Christmas cards and “Sweet” make and take, join us for our Yard Sale with a Twist. Bring your cash and bid on our fabulous bundles of card making and scrapbooking supplies to raise money for the Nothern Cancer Fund – Chemotherapy - Leukemia in Honour of Patty LeClair.

Although Donna has always been the “Hostess” for our Pajama parties, she has always donated the hostess rewards to benefit the charity. Many of you know that Donna has had a really tough time these last few months. This year, we would like to offer her some cheer and help her to begin to replenish her lost items from the flood by insisting that she be the beneficiary of the hostess rewards from this year’s party. Let’s make this the best party yet – we will not only be benefiting our chosen charity but also helping out a great friend!

If you aren’t able to make the event, but wish to place an order, please contact Shanna at 345-3873 or bananastamper@gmail.com or Jennifer at 628-8692 or at stampingjen@tbaytel.net prior to August 30th.

Although the event is on August 30th, we will be placing the Close to My Heart order on September 1st so that we can purchase the September Stamp of the Month (in our opinion, it is much nicer than August’s Stamp of the Month).

Hope to see you there!

I am leaving on a jet-plane in a few hours to go and cuddle that brand-new nephew of mine - stay tuned for more photos! We will also be partying with my family next weekend as my brother is getting married - lots to celebrate!

Have a fantastic weekend!

Share the warmth

Happy Sunday!

I have been a little distracted what with my brand new nephew having made his long-awaited appearance on Wednesday. No, I haven't been spending all my time cuddling, I've been spending my time getting ready to hop on a plane to go have some cuddles though, amongst other top-secret preparations. (Promise to share soon!) Did I mention how thrilled I am to be an Auntie?!?! Must have forgotten to mention it...

I have version two of a Christmas card I posted a few posts ago, this time with a snowman theme - can't get enough of these little guys! I have two photos here that at first glance, look the same. They are slightly different, I just could not decide which boarder punch to use.

I would like to share today's card at Christmas Card Challenges as well as at The Ribbon Carousel where the challenge is "Christmas in July."

And most importantly, an updated photo of my nephew, Graham - just two days old here. Just look at him - so utterly perfect! My fave photo so far...keep 'em coming Kris & Adam!

Have a fantastic evening!

Hugs,
Auntie Shanna ;)
