Long time no see - cleaning and purging seem to have possessed me of late and I've had little time in my scrap space as a result. Oh well, I do have something to share today...

This, I am sorry to report, was a belated Birthday card for Danderella. I managed to miss her birthday what with all the hype of my nephew's arrival and the trip to Southern ON for baby cuddles and Wedding bells! I know, excuses, excuses - I do not like to have to put "happy belated" in any of my cards, but I did in this one. Sorry Dan!

I am so lucky to have so many great friends - I don't know what I'd do without them some most days!

Graham's October page

I have been such a bad blogger but something had to give. Life has been busy, but the hardest part has been the fatigue I've been having. At first I just thought it had to do with resting up after vacation, then I thought maybe I was fighting off a bug or something, but the longer it goes on the more suspicious I get that it has to do with hormones or something else. Many nights I've had to go to bed at the same time as my boys - a couple of nights, I was asleep before them, and yesterday, I had to take a nap after sleeping nearly 12 hours at night! Yikes, this stinks! Time to call the doctor me thinks. :)

Here is the October page I made for my beautiful nephew's album. I just love these colourful little monsters! This has been my fave page so far! I can't seem to make the second photo any larger, so you may have to click to get the details.

Well, my bed is calling very loudly (and alas it is only 9 pm!)

Hay there!

Hello! I think I might have my mojo back - kinda sorta maybe, here goes...

This is my little brother's bday card. This week's inspiration photo at Inspired By was perfect to get things rolling. I already knew I wanted to use a horsey theme, I just had to pick out papers. These new Dakota papers from CTMH fit the bill perfectly and there was even a tweed pattern!!! I especially love the rope stamp that was included in stamp set from the Dakota Workshop on the Go. The horseshoe is from a retired set as well as the belated birthday greeting.

Below is another version of the card using a different spellbinder and a slightly different design.

I would like to share my card as well at Just us Girls where the challenge is to use "line art" with no colouring.

Best Birthday Wishes

Just a real quick post to let you know that I have not disappeared entirely off the face of the earth, just mostly from society for a couple of days, lol. Got caught up in the whole unpackingbacktoschoolshoppingcleaningpurginglaundryohmygoodnesssummerisendingbutIhavesomuchtodoletsgetorganized craziness that everything else just had to be put on hold.
The result? My boys' rooms have never been so clean or organized, laundry got caught up, went to an old-fashioned country fair, shopping all done and we went into the first day of school (Wednesday) feeling confident, organized and ready - I even baked for the lunches, including some yummy homemade granola bars (will share recipe later). Fast forward to Wednesday evening - I had a pounding headache and had to go to bed at 9 pm, and didn't wake up until 7:10!! I guess I might have overdone it on the weekend. Oh well, thank goodness the weekend is almost here again! Though part of me would like to keep the momentum and keep purging and organizing, I am having some withdrawl and my scraproom is calling my name very loudly - I wonder if I will find my mojo hiding somewhere in there....

Made this card before my holidays. Hope to be back with something new soon!
