Once I fell in love. With a roll of tape.

 Hello Monday!

I don't usually like Mondays much, but today is an exception. Although I had to go out early (in -36 degree weather!) to take the boys to the dentist, I did have today off and I found time to finish this card amongst the other household duties on the list for today. Sounds like not a bad Monday to me!

Okay - so I couldn't decide to add the sentiment or not...please help! I like it on, but it hides my green washi tape peeking out from under my image - what do you think?

I just had to get this card made - the idea for it has been in my head ever since I saw the challenge to Use 10 embellishments in the Moxie Fab World. The deadline is tonight, so I had to get a move on! The idea is that Washi girl is surrounded by all of her fun embellishments, trying to decide what to use, kinda like me! ;)

I used:
3 kinds of washi tape
baker's twine
2 colours of brads
mini pearls
and buttons

My card is also for the current challenge at Saturated Canary - a colour challenge. I've been wanting to colour up Washi girl for awhile now - she has to be one of my favourites! I had a bit of a hard time with the colour combo at first, but once I got going, I discovered that I quite like it!

Last but not least, I have once again used the fabulous sketch from The Sweet Stop! I will for sure be using this one again and again! I love making those little banners with my washi tape!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
Shanna :)

  1. Super cute, beautiful! Love the banner! Lee-Ann :)

  2. Wow, I love your card, especially the colouring and banner!!! I like the card both with and without the sentiment.
Great to see you yesterday, hopefully we can all have another scrapbooking day this year! :)

  3. Hey Shanna! Thanks for linking this up to the Use 10 Different Embellishments Challenge in the Moxie Fab World! I'm so glad you joined in on all the fun! :)

  4. Love your card, soooo cute!!! Such beautiful colouring!!
Great seeing you yesterday, lets hope we can get together again soon :)

  5. so gorgeous, love that image, think we can all identify! Love the sentiment so I vote to put it on but maybe you could raise it higher so you can still see the washi below, seems a shame to hide it!

  6. Look at you go! I prefer the card with the sentiment but I say move it a little higher to fill that white space and make it straight, not tilting to the side like you have it. Great use of Washi!

  7. Cute!!! I love how you added the ribbon and the brads : ) And the washi tape flags are so cool x

  8. brrrrr!! that's definitely too cold for going out!! Hope you kept warm! I love your card, I love that washi tape feel it has to it.
thank you so much for sharing it with us over on the SC challenge blog
    hugs Lou xx

  9. Gorgeous card! Nothing to pin point because I love it all. I would try moving the sentiment up higher because I do like the green washi tape showing.

  10. Love it gonna have to get that one too :)

  11. Yes!! Add the sentiment!!! I can see why you're loving these stamps :)

  12. What a fabulous card! Thanks so much for joining us at The Sweet Stop!
