I was in need of several sympathy cards. The gentleman who passed away was an avid gardener and was famous for his dill pickles.
So, as I started to sift through things to find supplies to make these cards, I was thinking to myself how nice it would be if I had some stamps of dill pickles or something related, though I was pretty sure I didn't. At first, I was stumped and had no idea where to begin, not having found any dill pickles in my collection. However, as I continued to dig through my stamp hoard (ahem...), I came across a set that included this lovely dill that I forgot I even owned! Lucky for me, I was able to add a bit of a personal touch to the card despite the fact that they are undeniably CAS.
I decided to make a couple of thank you cards while I was at it. Sorry for the slightly wonky photos!
Since the current challenge at Shopping Our Stash is "Lost and Found" - to share something you have recently rediscovered in your craft room, I thought I would share this.
Well spring seems to have sprung here in Thunder Bay! I have been out for walks every single day since Saturday! It seems I may have gone for my last ski this past Sunday out at Lappe Nordic- 10 km in my t-shirt - nothing compares to it! Probably could have fit in a few more despite the warm temps (good base of snow in the bush), but we woke up to the pitter-patter of rain on the roof Monday morning and I think it had rained for part of the night, so the trails are not likely looking so good now. Just for the record, I will now stop being secretly (or not so secretly) happy when it snows. ;)
Thanks for stopping by!
Shanna :)
