Happy Friday! It's Friends with Flair day over at the Unity blog! Did you notice that they have another awesome sale happening! Yikes, when I heard that, I told Donna we had better start searching for coins in the couch cushions because we just ordered last weekend - uh oh! Anyhow, I am happy to play along again and can't wait to play with all my new stuff when it arrives! Thank you for all the kind comments on the card I shared last week!
This time, I got to playing around with the feather stamp from "Strength and Dignity" and this is what I came up with. This image strikes me as very versatile and I made a few similar but different cards with it. This first was a small card since I was trying to use up a card base that I had laying around.
Here is the second one. I plan to make more of a similar nature using this stamp and a variety of papers. Wouldn't a few of these with a variety of sentiments make a nice gift set?
I would also like to share my cards at Cute Card Thursday where the challenge is "Bonny blues".
Thanks so much for your visit!
Happy Weekend!
Shanna :)
What I used:
papers - My Mind's Eye Stella and Rose
stamp - Unity from "Strength and Dignity" Sept. 2013
ink: CTMH glacier
Great job! And yes, they'd make a very nice set.
ReplyDeleteLovely feather image!! Really beautiful what you have done here. Love the gentle colors with the stitching and distressing.

ReplyDeleteGreat design and distressing, Shanna!! These would be a marvelous gift set, except the recipient might not like to ever use them because they are so pretty!! Hugs, Darnell
ReplyDeleteThese are lovely. The feathers are beautiful and great idea to make a set. Hugz
ReplyDeleteLovely cards, I love feathers!
ReplyDeletePretty cards! I wish money really did grow on trees! Unity's sales are irresistible!
ReplyDeleteBeautifully executed! Love the soft, gentle feel that the colors evoke. This stitching really pulls the card together. I'm sure a set of these cards would make an incredible gift!
ReplyDeletewow---that is so pretty!
ReplyDeleteoh how i *LOVE* both of those! definitely making even a remedial stamper like myself kinda think i might need that cool stamp! ;) also kind of excited to hear there are other ppl who build a whole card around the fact that they have an odd-sized leftover base that they NEED TO get rid of right now, lol! :)
ReplyDeleteps: i cannot believe you are still skiing in APRIL??!?! but yeah, you need to grab and savor these last few times! i do the same thing in the reverse direction... any autumn or winter day that's above 45F you will see me ruthlessly drop EVERYTHING to get an hour for walking outside instead of on the treadmill!! ♥
I love that you ski through April as well, but even though I am creating winter themed/Christmas cards, deep down I am soooooo ready for spring. We had several inches of snow last week and expect more over the next three days. It was the heavy, wet snow that is impossible to remove from a shovel. I am so done with that! As for my Christmas cards, I think I have already surpassed the number of cards I'll need for Dec. 2015, but I just can't resist playing along with the challenges. I also agree with Lauren (above) and drop everything for any opportunity to be outside walking, gardening, hiking, biking and taking advantage of the warmer, sunny weather. HAPPY SPRING!
ReplyDeleteThis is so sweet. I love the shabby look and the feathers are awesome!!
ReplyDeleteI saw this on Unity FWF. Have a blessed day
