Today's card is for Papercraft Star where the challenge is buttons!
Well, I definitely used buttons, but I am not in love with  my card. For one thing, I did not realize until I photographed it how far off my colour match was between the polkadots and the background paper. I go back and forth, one minute I look at it and think "epic fail" and the next I convince myself it isn't so bad. I almost didn't post it, but what the heck, you can't love 'em all right?!?

And just for laughs, here is hubby modelling a miniature Santa hat whilst goofing around in my scraproom. He wandered in a one day while I was working and started goofing off to get my attention. He has quite the sense of humour this one!

Oh, and since this is another Christmas card for the stash, I'd like to share over at Christmas Card Challenges.

Wherever you are, whatever you're up to, Happy Friday!
Shanna :)

p.s. the temp finally seems to be a bit on the rise, we are now sitting at a balmy -9c which registers as -13c with the wind chill. Much better!

  1. I didn't notice a big difference in the colors...I just noticed how CUTE this is! Hubby, too! LOL!

  2. are getting some Christmas cards done...awesome. I think it looks great...but you could always ink or glitter up one of the layers...I find it really hides a boo boo. Lee-Ann :)

  3. Right then Bananananana. I think the backing paper goes perfectly with the colour in the text, so cancel the epic fail please. I also happen to love, love, love this card. The row of buttons is a cute and gorgeous touch. So there. Told you! Have a great weekend. X

  4. In the photo on my computer, you can't see a difference in the paper colours. This is a fabulously fun Christmas Card. Love all the embellishments.

  5. Fun card, love all your buttons! thanks for joining us this week at the Papercraft Star.

  6. I think it's a lovely card and I love the row of buttons! Thanks for playing at Papercraft Star this week!

  7. This is gorgeous! I don't see really where the papers don't match:I think it looks great! the layout is pretty too!
The pic of your hubby is cute! Gotta love a man with a sense of humor!

  8. I particularly love the way you used the buttons, almost like a ribbon or border ! We were so glad to have you along with us for our button challenge at Papercraft Star !!

  9. The buttons draw your eye away from the papers, so I didn't even notice the colour difference until you pointed it out. Great card, way to go an getting some Christmas cards done!

  10. Ha Ha! Mr Bananastamper!!
