Paper Sundaes - Make your own flowers

Hello, thanks for stopping by! This week's challenge at Paper Sundaes is to Make your own flowers! Lily of the Valley is our sponsor this week, so I was able to use one of my brand-spankin new stamps that I ordered a few weeks ago - k maybe it was more like two months ago - but I finally had a perfect excuse to play! This little bunny was one of the first stamps I ever saw from this company - they have so many adorable images and lots of cute little boys stamps too!
I used Mojo Monday sketch #146 for this one. For my flower, I simply sewed along one edge of my ribbon, pulled snug and tied it off. I had seen lots of bloggers doing this, but had not gotten around to trying it out until now. That is the beauty of challenges right?!

I tried another new technique on this one - see how my balloon "falls off" the nestie? I'm sure you've all seen it and done it, but I hadn't until now. Lucky me, I mentioned it to Danderella when she was over last weekend and she said, "Hey I know how to do that" and proceeded to show me - it was easier than I expected and I will defnitely be doing it again as I love the result.

I would like to enter my card into the challenge at KLSNS which is Ribbon this week.

Hope you have a wonderful Sunday!
Cheers,

Shanna :)

  7. Very sweet card! I really like the flower, I'll have to experiment with that technique. Also, would you explain how you do that nestie technique, I've never been able to figure it out and it looks really neat :-) Have a great Sundae!

  9. Gorgeous! That rabbit is sooo cute and you have coloured him/her in brilliantly. So, how did you do the balloon? I have done similar by cutting out a second image and layering it over the first but i have no idea if this is right. How have you done that one?
Anyway off to bed for me now as i have the start of the summer vacation to deal with starting tomorow about 7am so i need to regain mental strength through unconciousness (i can never spell that!)
    Linds xx
