Baby it's cold outside.....

Well, not really! But it is time for another of Sparkle's Christmas Card Challenges! This week, the challenge is to use stitching somewhere on your card.

Funny, I actually had a card prepared using hand-stitching and a bazzill template, but realized it fit next week's challenge more suitably, you'll see what I mean next week, so I created another, this time with machine stitching.

Do you stitch on your cards? I do it often now that I have found a spot for my machine to "live" out in the open. Because it isn't a chore to pull out and get going, I find I use it all the time and I love the effect!

I have used sketch 23 from The OCC weekly sketch challenge for my card. And I think I'm even on time to enter! Thanks Danderella for the idea!

I look forward to seeing what kind of stitching you will use on your Christmas/Winter card this week!

Cheers,
Shanna :)

p.s. Have you stopped by Sparkle Creations yet? The store is officially open. I have ordered Lantern Rin and cannot wait for her to arrive!

What I used:
stamps: a really old one from my stash that had NEVER seen ink!
papers: DCWV
embellishments: Kaiser craft bling as well as bling I won in a blog candy from Stacy over at The Scrapbooking cottage!, SU felt snowflakes (I've been hoarding!), misc ribbon

  6. This is lovely Banana, love the bling and the stitching. I know what you mean about finding the machine a spot to live out in the open. I used to have to drag a chair from the kitchen in to the supboard in the cupboard under the stairs, stand on it, open top cupboard, move bleach and other nasties, break back pulling out sewing machine....anyway you get my drift?! Luckily now hubs has got a new job as of tomorrow, he no longer works from home so....i get the office and sewing machine permanently out. Yay!
Ps. Danderella has saved me from myself. After a stern talking too she persuaded me back onto team Eddie. It was the phrase "kibble breath" that swung it!
Right, must stop blogging, dry hair and go to bed xx

  7. There was no "wine incident" as such, I just had a couple of glasses and noticed how much nicer my card looked! In the morning it looked pretty squiffy and the lovely "soft focus" of the previous night had had well and truely gone!Needless to say this is not going to be posted!
Has kibble breath ruined him for you too?
    Linds xx
