An Inspiration Challenge

Today I would like to share my entry for the Inspiration Challenge over at Danderella's Blog.

After much back and forth "bantering" between a number of "Twibloggers" including myself, Danderella and Loopey Lindsey over Team Edward vs. Team Jacob, Lindsey posted this, umm, yummy poster of Jacob and asked "What could you do with this?"

Because this card is meant to be inspired by Jacob and I didn't have any hunky looking stamps with six-pack abs, I decided to take my inspiration from his character and the following quote from "New Moon:"

"It wasn't just that he was always so happy to see me, or that he didn't watch me out of the corner of his eye, waiting for me to do something that would mark me as crazy or depressed. It was nothing that related to me at all.

It was Jacob himself. Jacob was simply a perpetually happy person, and he carried that happiness with him like an aura, sharing it with whoever was near him. Like an earthbound sun, whenever someone was within his gravitational pull, Jacob warmed them. It was natural, a part of who he was. No wonder I was so eager to see him."

I have often called my hubby "Sunshine Eyes" because he has the longest eyelashes of any man I know - why do the guys always get the great lashes!?!

I also used the sketch from Get Sketchy this week for a little inspiration for the layout.

Better run, I have some packin' to do - only two more sleeps until I take off on a little cross-boarder "girlfriend's excursion" - four days of no laundry, no cooking, no children, no husband and best of all lots of yakin, scrappin and shoppin!!! Don't get me wrong, I love them dearly, but a little time away with the girls is always a nice treat!

Cheers,

Shanna :)

What I used:

stamps: CTMH - Go Green (sun), Around the Block (cloud) and Treasures (sentiment)

embelishments: Bo Bunny Ribbon, clear button

papers: CTMH Crystal Blue, honey & white

  4. AH! I like what you have done Banana! (Please tell me you didn't recite that page by memory?) Well, when we open our new challenge blog ( I think Danderella sugested the name "Hot Guys Inspirational challenge" I can see a new trend in Six Pack Stamps being released! Love the card, simple, cheerful and elegant.
Right, you asked about my neck of the woods...well, it's Summer here although this week has been humid and wet. It's not baking hot (to us Brits) like it was last week when it was 29 degrees (that is hot to us and 10 degrees is "FREEZING!". Oh and if it snows....well the country grinds to a halt! "snow! Snow! OMG snow! I can't get the car of the drive, theres a flake on my windscreen!" At the moment it is raining. Has that made things any clearer?!
    Have a great weekend
