This is the layout I managed to get together this past weekend while my boys were away. It was inspired by the song "Brothers" by Dean Brody. If you are a country music fan, you will know this song. It is such a beautiful song and I was priviledged enough to see it performed live in November when Dean Brody opened for Terri Clark! It is such a moving song - it brought tears to my eyes. So, when I was organizing photos that I had printed, this song popped into my head when I saw this shot of my boys - big brother helping his little brother out with his buttons while waiting for the bus. I am so happy I managed to catch it on camera!
This layout was also inspired by the layout over at Sketchy Thursdays - it is a fun sketch but I don't know if I followed it closely enough - we'll see what they think...
I hope you are all having a great week! Mine started out a bit rough - after a fantastic, fun, relaxing weekend doing as I pleased, I must admit it was a bit of a shock to the system gettting back to reality - that is always the hard part! Such is life - I seem to be getting back into the swing of things now and we are already at "hump day!"
What I used:
stamps: Playful flourishes CTMH, Moments in time
papers: Bohemia (I think)
embellishments: misc buttons, Bohemia rub-on "Brothers", embroidery floss
