Happy Birthday Anna!

A little while ago, I shared a card that my eldest son made. Now it's the little guy's turn, he's five. Here is the card he made for his friend Anna whose Birthday was on Saturday! He really wanted to use my SU sprtizer tool on his card, but I think the thing that impressed me most was the "frame" that he drew around his image! He also had fun decorating the inside with a variety of stars and other small diecuts I had laying arouond.

And, this one is just another Birthday card I put together when I was on my boy card kick but hadn't shared yet. You will recall seeing others using the same SU set. This set is just so much fun for boys, not to mention quick and easy as there is no coloring involved! Would you believe that that ribbon came from OLD NAVY!?! I found it one day in a clearance bin near the check outs - what a find!
I hope you are all having a great week so far! As predicted, mine got off to a rough start - though I did not predict illness specifically - my little guy woke up at 2:30 am Monday "choking" (his word for ummm, throwing up - sorry, trying not to be too graphic!) and continued throughout the night. Needless to say, nobody got a lot of sleep, but I gotta say he is a fantastic sick kid! He got up countless times, took care business, washed his hands and headed back to bed - we would stumble out of the bedroom at some point during his episode and ensure that he made it where he needed to be, but he was so self-sufficient that hubby and I are pretty sure that at least once during the night he managed by himself and didn't even call for us! What a kid! Anyhow, by yesterday afternoon, he was looking much better and went to daycare as usual today. Hubby and I did the "juggle" as we call it, each going to work part of the day - I managed most of my day from home via phone or on the computer, so we managed to make the best of it. Hmmm, do you think if I start saying "I LOVE Mondays" maybe I won't dread them so much?!?!
Hope to be back with a new card soon, we'll see how it goes...
Shanna :)
