My April Card Class - Boys are Sew Much Fun!

As I mentioned last weekend, I have been asked to be a "guest instructor" at DAT'S in the month of April. I used to teach there regularly, but I started finding it too much to handle with juggling my travel for work and the family business, so it's been awhile since I actually taught a class and I am really looking forward to it!

Here are the details:

Wednesday, April 21st at DAT'S
7:00 pm Cost $12.00

You will make the two cards pictured in this post.

PLEASE NOTE - THIS CLASS IS NOW FULL - THANK YOU to those who signed up!
See you on the 21st!

And here are the cards that I created for the class - the first is a Shaker Card. I will admit that I have only ever made one other, simply because I am too lazy - there I said it and it's true! However, I am glad for the class as it motivated me to make one - they are so worth the effort, don't you think?

I took a close-up in hopes that you could get a good look at the shaker bit. I reused some packaging to make this shaker, so my card qualifies for the challenge this week at Raise the Bar - which is Go Green! They have indicated that you can interpret it in a few different ways - although there is no green on my card, I reused my sticker packaging.

Because my card is geared for boys, I am also entering into the challenge at Crazy 4 Challenges - they are looking for masculine cards. It was fun to use those little balloons - I had seen this idea on a card in Paper Crafts (I think), literally years ago and had tried it back then and promptly forgot about it. I think these little ones make a great embellishment for boy cards, especially since I can't reach for a flower to finish it off - having these little balloons on hand just provides more options....

I am reposting my Changito Kick card that I posted last week so that people wanting to check out the post can find both cards in one place.
Hoping you had a fantastic weekend! We sure did, the weather was so far above normal - we are talking like 18 cel. - that we went to a different park each day and BBQd and ate dinner outdoors! I keep wanting to pinch myself since it is March and this weather feels more like May or June. We are in Northwestern Ontario after all - we had colder days last summer than the last few here! No joke! My house is rather a mess as a result of spending so much time outdoors, but isn't that what life is all about - Carpe Diem.........that is exactly what we did! The laundry and mess will still be there in the morning...
On that note, my bed is calling my name - all that fresh air & sunshine.....
Nighty night,
Shanna :)
